A good relationship between humans and horses is built on mutual trust, understanding and respect. I am convinced that a gentle, respectful approach is the key to a deep and trusting relationship. For over 40 years, I have interacted with horses in this way, deliberately fostering a respectful and appreciative connection. I see horses as sensitive beings who need harmony and who will trustingly follow a compassionate partner by their side because their needs and concerns are understood and acknowledged.
Horses are highly attuned to a person’s inner state and constantly respond to it. With patience, a postive attitude, and a clear yet gentle communication, significant progress can be made, which strengthens the trust between human and horse in a lasting way.
In seating training sessions, we analyze the position needed for a balanced seat and explore the optimal balance between mobility and stability in your body, helping you develop a functional and adaptive seat.
We deepen your understanding of seat, leg, and rein aids, integrating this new awareness into motion to foster a harmonious dialogue with your horse.
My lessons include targeted guidance and explanations, personalized seat training, as well as exercises for body awareness and visualization to enable the most refined aids and communication.
Together, we explore inner imagery tailored to you, making implementation easier, while focusing deeply on the horse's biomechanics and the resulting correct application of aids.
My primary focus is on carefully developing and consistently maintaining rhythm and relaxation. Building on this foundation, we establish genuine contact, created by the horse rather than the rider’s hand.
This approach allows your horse to develop a healthy movement pattern, promoting the proper muscle development needed to carry you in a sound and balanced manner.
Groundwork is an essential foundation and should be an integral part of every horse’s training. It allows us to introduce basic aids to the horse from the ground while establishing healthy movement patterns and body awareness.
I am happy to support you in developing the basics for working in-hand, lunging, and learning coordination exercises, helping your horse develop a healthy and balanced movement sequence.
I also offer seminars – either shorter seminars on individual topics or comprehensive one-day courses.
In my seminars, I provide detailed information on the correct weight, leg, and rein aids. I also explain the effects of incorrect aids on the horse and how to avoid these.
I combine the theoretical knowledge with many practical examples to make you feel and experience. The seminar can also be extended with a seat training on a wooden horse.
Additionally, I offer courses on horse training, in which I explain the scale of horse training in detail. I clear up misconceptions, and explain why it's so important to follow the individual steps necessary in the right order to train a horse correctly.
Do you sometimes feel unsure about which aids to use with your horse and how to apply them effectively? Are you looking for an instructor who not only welcomes questions but actively encourages a two-way conversation, helping you grasp the bigger picture? Would you like someone by your side who shows you how to sit balanced on the horse, enabling a harmonious dialogue with it?
Would you like to understand the connections of horse training comprehensively and train your horse with calmness and empathy?
Then you’ve come to the right place!
After an initial analysis, we’ll tackle all key topics together, step-by-step, so riding feels light again—and you’ll dismount with a smile.
My goal is for you to make progress quickly, even without my presence, because you’ve understood the connections and developed the right feeling for both yourself and your horse.
I’m happy to also offer lessons in English for non-German-speaking riders.
Useful Information
I’m also happy to support you online through video analysis. You send me a video, and I provide you with valuable feedback and detailed guidance for improvement via voice message.
This is an ideal way to supplement your lessons, helping to reinforce and further develop what you’ve learned.
You’ll enhance both your observational skills and body awareness.
I offer mobile riding lessons in the Hofheim am Taunus area. My service area covers stables located 15 kilometers away.
If your stable is located a bit outside of this range, feel free to reach out – we will certainly find an individual solution!
A lesson varies and lasts between 30 and 60 minutes, as I like to tailor the session to your individual needs.
The first meeting is especially important as it will be used to assess your current status and needs. I am happy to dedicate an additonal 30 minutes, free of charge.
Since my childhood, I have felt a special connection to animals, especially horses. Their strength and sensitivity fascinated me, and even back then, I refused to reach my goals through pressure. Through my empathetic approach, the horses always actively sought contact with me, which further strengthened my resolve.
When my own horse came into my life, it quickly showed me its trust and, after just a few weeks, lay down with me in deep sleep. We soon harmonized excellently on the ground, but riding brought its own challenges. The traumatic experiences my horse had in Spain during its initial training led me to focus intensively on fine riding aids to better support him. This journey led me to Silja Schießwohl from Rideucation, where I successfully completed all her courses and became a certified Rideucation trainer in 2024.
In addition to this qualification, I am distinguished by my empathy and sensitivity for both horse and rider. I have a keen sense of my counterpart’s emotional state and bring calmness and patience to every session, allowing horse and human to feel safe and understood.
In my lessons, I promote a horse-friendly, harmonious partnership that not only brings more ease but also deepens the relationship.
My goal is to build a sustainable and trusting partnership between horse and owner or rider, based on understanding and mutual respect, contributing to the well-being and health of the horse.
My passion for knowledge has motivated me to complete countless further training courses with renowned trainers, study piles of specialized literature, and continuously educate myself for my personal growth and the benefit of my clients.
